Børge Buch, b. 1924 in Mukden, China. (Parents: Rev. Niels Buch and Astrid Buch). Married to Johanne Ellerbek, 1951. (4 kids – b. 1956-58-60-64). BM in Medicine, Copenhagen University, 1951, followed by temporary assignments at hospitals in Denmark. Diploma of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, London, 1958. Together with family sent by DMS to Tanganyika/Tanzania, 1958-70. Working places: Ndolage Hospital, 1958-62. Ndolage Mobile Clinic, 1963-64. Nyakahanga and Ndolage Hospitals, alternately, 1964-70. Resigned in 1970. Voluntary service at Nyakananga Hospital, 1976. Re-sent as surgeon to Nyakahanga Hospital, 1983-90. Retired 1990. Volunteer at Tirukoilur Hospital, South India, 2 months in 1992. Senior volunteer at Nyakahanga Hospital, 1992-93. (Photo 1983).
