Caption: "Leaf from the First Jenson Bible, 1476 A.D., Venetiis: Nicolai Jenson; The first Bible from the famous press of Nicolas Jenson, the French printer from whose Venetian press came nearly a hundred of the finest books produced in the fifteenth century. When Jenson issued a second edition of the Latin Bible, in 1479, Pope Sixtus IV conferred upon him the honorary title of Count Palatine. (Hain 3061) (Copinger 28)--Otto F. Ege."
