Description
Uncredited documentary profile of a Bronx youth, who talks about growing up in the neighborhood, gangs, graffiti art, aspirations for college. Scenes of basketball courts, playgrounds, subway car graffiti, family, ghetto buildings, parks. He shows his notebook of graffiti art to the camera, including images of Howard the Duck - his artist name may have been "Radar." It is unclear if this was part of the Barrio Expressions television show, and may fall under a different copyright. Barrio Expressions was a community access television show documenting Chicanx and Latinx life in the East San Francisco Bay Area. It ran on Hayward cable television from 1976-1985. While the shows were filmed primarily in the Hayward area, they include stories from around the East Bay and San Jose. The show aired weekly, with 26 episodes per year.
