Description
Photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on June 21, 1972 states: "A break in the levee at Spindrift Marina, on the San Joaquin River side of Andrus Island about 10 miles east of Rio Vista early today, caused extensive flooding. The photo above shows the scene looking north from the San Joaquin River, across the levee and across flooded Andrus and Brannan Islands. Highway 12, between Lodi and Rio Vista, is in the background across the top of the photo."
