Image of the execution of Hetherington and Brace with the scaffold at left center surrounded by a hollow square of Vigilantes. Both bodies are visible below the platform of the scaffold. Fort Vigilance is in the background with a United States flag flying from the roof. Various signs are on the Fort and other buildings. Below image is a description of the execution that occurred on the day of July 29th, 1856. "Lith. & Pub. by Britton & Rey S. F."--text, below image. Paper color: gray.
