Description
A ship at harbor is in the background. In the middle ground, men are loading hides into a dory. In the foreground, on a hill, two men, one of whom is dressed as a sailor holds a paper and speaks to a gentleman with a vaquero hat. Behind them are two barrels and two crates and the painter's signature. Below them on the beach is a vaquero on a horse with a cart drawn by two bullocks and loaded with hides. To the right are men preparing a boat (?).
