Leonard K. Firestone speaking at a Kiwanis luncheon at the Biltmore Hotel, regarding the end of the war-time rubber crisis. He shared that by the end of 1943, there would be 200,000 tons in the rubber stock pile, and synthetic rubber plants, with an annual capacity of approximately 800,000 tons, will be in operation.
