Description
He founded the First National Bank in 1875. The Los Angeles City Fire Department was formed with salaried employees. The new City Hall was erected on 2nd Street. A railroad rate war encouraged a flood of immigration from the Eastern States and created the Real Estate Boom of the 80s.
