Postcard--photo--black and white: Sebastopol's Carnegie Public Library Sebastopol Carnegie Public library, front view (south). Located at 7140 Bodega Highway, corner of Bodega and N. High Street. Built in 1916 of the style known as the Classic Revival C by Petaluma architect Brainerd Jones. Carnegie libraries were built with money donated by Scottish-American businessman and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. The Carnegie library was demolished in December 1975 to make way for the larger new Sebastopol Library.
