A group portrait of prominent leaders of Fuller Theological Seminary inside an unidentified building on campus (135 North Oakland Avenue). The image was taken on May 17, 1955. We believe these individuals are (from left to right): Edward John Carnell (Fuller's second president); his wife Shirley (Rowe) Carnell; Harold John Ockenga (Fuller's first president); Grace (Payton) Fuller (wife of Charles E. Fuller); and the founder of the Seminary, Charles E. Fuller.The Seminary was founded in 1947 as a center for evangelical scholarship. The original negative is badly damaged and no longer available.
