Portrait of Sister Margaret Burt, Matron at Chogoria, and Jackson Chabari, Senior Hospital Assistant. Margaret arrived in May 1947 from the CMS hospital at Kikuyu and stayed until 1970. Jackson Chabari worked for twenty on years as an Assistant and Senior Assistant (1929-1950) before becoming the hospital Dispenser. ❧ The image is from the collection of Dr Archibald Clive Irvine (1893-1974) showing the period from 1928-1961 at the Chogoria mission which was established in 1922.
