Photograph caption dated July 23, 1957 reads, ""Lana Turner and Daughter, Cheryl Crane At About the Same Time as Lana Was Getting Divorce, Cheryl Fell Off Horse in Colorado"" Crane, age 13, after spending a weekend in Palm Springs, had convinced her mother, actress Lana Turner, to drop her and a friend off an Union Station where they would take a cab back to the Sacred Heart Academy in Flintridge. Instead of returning to the school, Crane had the cab driver drop her off at nearby drugstore.
