This accident occurred during the construction of the Mellon Bank Center, located at 400 S. Hope Street. Scores of firemen and construction workers try to move a temporary trailer-like office unit that was knocked down by a 200-foot crane, as they desperately look for anyone trapped underneath the rubble at a Bunker Hill construction site. Two were confirmed dead, and 5 others were seriously injured. Photograph dated May 15, 1981.
