Description
Portrait of Matilda Lotz with paintboard and brushes, a large dog at her feet. Miss Lotz was a well-known artist. She painted animals primarily. She moved to San Jose with her family in 1870 but stayed only intermittently, as she traveled and exhibited her work in London and Paris. She died in 1923.
