Description
Marie de Forest and San Jacinto Postmaster Donald L. Webster pose holding a sheet of "Progress in Electronics" commemorative stamps, at the inauguration of the first issue of the stamp honoring Lee de Forest's Audions. The event was held in San Jacinto on July 11th, hosted by the San Jacinto Post Office and Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. de Forest was living in nearby Hemet, California, at the time.
