Photograph of construction of the Slauson Avenue storm drain, showing construction on 69th Street west from Derker Avenue, February 13, 1934. Men in overalls and hats use shovels to dig a deep trench in the road from the center foreground to the left distance. A row of cement, cylindrical pipe pieces lie on the sidewalk on the right amongst various trees, including a palm tree in the foreground. Houses can be seen behind the pipe pieces in the background on the right while others stand on the opposite side of the street in the left background.
