Title supplied by cataloger. From 1939 to 1990, William Reagh produced over 40,000 photographs of Los Angeles in considerable architectural detail. Reagh is also well known for his specific efforts to document the Downtown area from the 1950s to the 1980s. His collection is now part of the California State Library, and a photography center in his name, the William Reagh Los Angeles Photography Center, is located at 2332 W. Fourth Street. The tables have been turned and the photographer has turned into the subject. This portrait of a bespectacled William Reagh shows him wearing a houndstooth hat, beige jacket, and stripe shirt. He is holding a tripod with a large camera, ready to start clicking away at a moment's notice.
