Original photograph has several stains on the bottom half of the picture. Photograph caption dated March 3, 1954 reads "Victims are removed from balcony by special squad using equipment from Los Angeles City Civil Defense rescue truck. Victims were bandaged, lowered in special rope hoist and aluminum stretcher, and whisked to medical collection station."
