Photograph caption dated April 9, 1957 reads, "Hay and horses - Helen Sutherland, 5, above, takes it easy on bale of hay while Kay Dreyzehner, 10, and Judy Pyle, 11, tug at another bale during respite from horseback riding lessons. Below, Old Buster stands quite docile as Mary Alice Irwin, 13, of 13424 Sayre St., Sylmar, tightens cinch on saddle. Mary is member of Ranger riding group that practices weekly drills at ranch. Many Valley groups composed of adults; children, too, use ranch facilities." See images 00153494 through 00153500 for all photos in this series.
