Photograph caption dated December 3, 1963 reads, "Ten new Fiat 1500 Spyder convertibles arrived last week at Hoffman Motors in Beverly Hills for distribution to more than a score of dealers in Hoffman's Southern California region. Among lucky dealers for sales preference were, left to right, Theodore G. Bakan, Bozanni Motors, Los Angeles; Jim Parkinson, Italiano Motors, Hollywood; Jerry Keyes, Keyes Motors, Van Nuys; Jack Prince, Hawthorne Plymouth, and Herb Friedlander, Garden Grove Imports. On hand to view the shipment of sports cars was Raquel Welch, TV actress playing on the Danny Kaye and Red Skelton programs. The 1500 Spyder, first sports car designed with comfort and convenience features demanded by American motorists to sell for less than $3,000, will be available in unlimited quantity early in 1964."
