“Dr and Miss Crooks, Kirin [Jilin].” Portrait of two ladies taking tea outside. Dr Emma M Crooks arrived in Manchuria in 1900 and worked as a women’s doctor in Kirin, her sister, Susan, worked as a nurse. They were part of the Presbyterian Church of Ireland mission in Manchuria.
