Photograph article dated January 31, 1962 reads, "Detectives planned to seek felony complaints today against three alleged bandits captured minutes after they reportedly robbed an Encino bank of $12,760. A bizarre chain of coincidences, including a long distance telephone call and a turn into a dead-end street, led to their swift arrests Thursday, police said... Booked on suspicion of robbery were Nicholas Demos, James Krasek and Rufus Lee Almand, all 29, and all of 6040 1/2 Vineland Ave., North Hollywood." Pictured is robbery suspect Nicholas Demos, being escorted by one of his captors, officer P. K. Nicholas at the Van Nuys jail.; See images #00117732 through #00117734 for all photos in this series.
