Description
Title supplied by cataloger.
Children and personalities have come together for the annual January fundraiser, called the "March of Dimes," for the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis. Mayor Fletcher Bowron (second from left) is seen with California Governor Earl Warren, who is standing between two young boys. Entertainer Eddie Cantor (second from right) is recognized as the person who coined the term "March of Dimes," for the event. In 1979, the organization, which was formed in 1938, changed its name to March of Dimes.
