Description
Designed by John and Donald Parkinson and built in 1929, the department store and Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument was acquired by the Southwestern Law School in the mid-1990s.
Photograph caption dated April 12, 1983 reads, "Art deco design by Cedric Gibbons, father of Oscar statuette, is above Bullock's Wilshire's overlooked front entrance." The bas-relief was designed by Cedric Gibbons and sculpted by George Stanley.
