Now known Tokyo City Cup, this race was called the San Bernardino Handicap from 1957-2005. It honors the partnership between Santa Anita Park and Ohi Racecourse in Tokyo, Japan.
Photograph caption dated April 19, 1988 reads, "Alysheba's trainer Jack Van Berg greets horse and rider after their win in the San Bernardino Handicap." This race took place at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California.
