Photograph shows the Reid House. National, Imperial and lastly called Cone Tavern, burned 1931. Built in early 1800's. Men unknown, one supposed to be a prof. From clipping out of Red Bluff Daily news: These two mules, photographed by the National Hotel on Main and Hickory, were the first beast of burden to ascend towering Mt. Shasta in Siskiyou County. The picture, showing a University of California professor who made the climb, was taken in 1887. The National had a saloon.
