Description
Auburn Highway, later known as Auburn Boulevard, is shown on Feb. 18, 1937 as a quiet, country road passing through the splendor of Del Paso Park. The park was officially opened in April 1911 with a picnic that included a barbecue, dance and series of games. The area previously had been part of the famous 44,000-acre Rancho Del Paso, where, for more than 50 years, some of the highest grade horses in the world were bred.
