Photograph caption dated October 5, 1986 reads, "Firefighters extinguish a brushfire at the edge of Angeles Forest Highway near Palmdale where four people were killed and five injured yesterday in a double head-on collision. CHP investigators said a speeding Trans Am was rounding a curve on the two-lane highway when it veered into the path of an approaching Nissan on the road, burst into flames and torched the occupants."
