Les Walsh (Dec. 18, 1908-Oct. 9, 1987), born Carl Leslie Walsh, was a Marin County photographer and owner of Les Walsh Photo of San Rafael, Calif. He specialized in photographing horses and was staff photographer for Hoof Beats Magazine, as well as a frequent photographer for the races at the Sonoma County Fair and as photographer for many of California's best know trail rides. His renown as a horse photographer brought him in contact with many celebrities who later became friends, including Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon and Walt Disney. He also served as photographer for the Marin County Coroner, Frank Keaton, who was his cousin.
