Description
Fossils of scallop shells (Pecten) in the Topanga formation (Miocene epoch) seen along the roadway one mile east of the summit of Saddle Peak at the head of the Las Flores Canyon watershed in the Santa Monica Mountains. They were revealed by road construction. Photo date: January 21, 1937.
