"The former Overseas Chinese Club at the corner of Chung Shan and Shanghai Roads, Nanking. It was used as a refugee center by the Nanking Safety Zone Committee, but is now occupied by a high Japanese military organization. Ernest Forster, the photographer, was an American Episcopal missionary who stayed in Nanjing during the period of the Japanese occupation, 1937-1938.
