Image of a full-length portrait of English-American comedic actor John Owens dressed as the character "Paul Pry" with rumpled clothing, a top hat, umbrella, eyeglasses, and boots; the poster advertises the comedy "Paul Pry" written by Douglas William Jerrold.
Probable date based on show history; Owens performed the play at the Broadway Theater in 1865. "Lith of Chas. Hart,"--text, bottom right of margin. "99 Fulton St. N.Y."--text, bottom left of margin. "'I hope I don't intrude; Just called to ask how your tooth is'.!"--text, bottom margin centered.
