Description
Photograph of Illilouette Falls in Yosemite National Park, ca.1900. A picturesque view of a waterfall begins at the top center of the image with the initial descent over the edge of a mountain. After the vertical fall of the water, it meets a descending valley between two mountains where the water freely streams over rocks when it finally forks out into three distinct flows of water at the bottom of the image. The elevating sides of mountains can be seen on both sides of the waterfall while trees that appear to be pine line the foreground of the picture with a dense cluster of trees to the right of the water.
