Description
The photo caption published in the Sacramento Bee on May 22, 1970 states: "The Ord Ferry across the Sacramento River at Ord Bend, Glenn County, was refloated yesterday afternoon in the annual launching that must await the lowering of the winter water level in the river. Bids will be sought in April for an $875,000 bridge to replace the ferry. The project is expected to be completed in two years."
