Kashnor notes, "A second edition of Jaillot's map, showing California, with the Terre de Jesso only separated from it by a strait." California is shown as an island. McLaughlin identifies as State 1. Canada or Nouvelle France stretches across most of northern America except for Virginie, N. Hollande and N. Angleterre, squeezed against East Coast. Alternate title above neat line. Decorative cartouche. A second cartouche surrounds a scale in six different units. . Prime meridian: Ferro. Relief: pictorial. Graphic Scale: Yes. Projection: Pseudocylindrical.
