Description
The photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on April 27, 1969 states: "This is the 104-year-old Amador Steam Mill, one of the first flour mills in California, located in Ione, Amador County. Saturday, the Ione Native Sons and Daughters will dedicate it as a county historical landmark. The mill was closed 40 years ago. The Ione Lumber Co. uses it for storage now."
