Description
Photograph of two scientists checking astronomical instruments at the Griffith Observatory, ca.1930-1950. At center the two scientists can be seen checking astronomical instruments that chart the course of stars and planets. The two men stand on either side of the high rungs of a ladder. The man on the right wears a lightly colored lab coat while looking upwards and prodding the astronomical machine. The man on the left wears a dirty lab coat. The astronomical apparatus that sits above the two men is a darkly colored collaboration of circular lenses attached to a sphere that is supported by a tubular mechanism.
