Description
As of 2009, the hospital referred to in this article is known as Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, located at 15031 Rinaldi Street in the Mission Hills community of Los Angeles.
Photograph caption dated August 1, 1957 reads, "Rt. Rev. Msgr. Thomas J. O'Dwyer, center, director of health and hospitals for Los Angeles Catholic Archdiocese, inspects site for new 200-bed Catholic hospital near San Fernando with San Fernando officials Mayor Dan Spencer, left, and Elvin Schmidt, president, San Fernando Chamber of Commerce. Hospital costing $3,000,000 will be constructed near Rinaldi Street and Laurel Canyon Boulevard."
