Description
This report is divided into three main parts. Part one consists of ten (10) written chapters reporting findings of an investigation for the purpose of determining the feasibility, probable effectiveness and the approximate cost of a "Salt Water Barrier" constructed at some point below the confluence of the Sacramento and San Joaquin rivers to prevent incursions of salt water into the region of the delta. Part two, provides exhibits, tables, and cost estimates accompanying the report on building a salt water barrier and a detailed map of the Lake Washington Ship Canal. A thorough treatment of drilling operations and detailed logs of holes bored completes part three. Main areas of focus are Army Point Dam Site, Dillon Point Dam Site, and the Point San Pablo Dam Site.
