Description
Captain Patrick H. Morgan and two other servicemen look over a paper in the Captain's office. The location Camp Drake in Japan. This photo is part of a series documenting Williams’ shipping out to Korea. The journey started in Pittsburg, California (Camp Stoneman), where a ferry carried troops to San Francisco for embarkation to Japan, and on to Korea. The bulk of the journey took place on the USS General M. C. Meigs Navy transport ship, which sailed from San Francisco to Yokohama, Japan between January 14th and 28th, 1952.
