Photograph of a view of the Scripps College seal on the side of a building in Claremont, October 1935. The seal shows a woman sewing seeds at center with the sun in the background. The words "Scripps College" appear overhead, while the Roman numerals MCMXXVI -- 1926 -- appear on the bottom of the seal. The Latin motto "Incipit Vita Nova" -- here begins a new life -- can be seen at right.
