Description: The lobby of the San Jose City Hall on Mission street featured a staircase floating above a fish pond. The stairs led the second floor city council chambers. On the back wall is an American flag and flags of the countries of two of San Jose's sister cities. To the left of the flags is a 9-foot statue of Christopher Columbus donated by the local Italian community.
