Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated October 10, 1961 reads, "This modern facility located on the top of a knoll overlooking the San Fernando Reservoir in Sylmar will soon house the electronics operations of the Bendix-Pacific Division. The first module of the center will contain 100,000 square feet of space. Later, additional modules will swell this total to 650,000 square feet. Initially the plant will employ some 1,000 persons, and later the work force will be expanded to 5,000."
