Photograph of the altar in the church of Mission San Miguel Arcangel, near Templeton, California, 1905. Pictures hang at both sides on facing walls. Statues of three figures dominate the wall behind the alter over which a sunburst sculpure hangs. On the altar itself sit 3 framed documents and a container housing a chalice. The carved ceiling rafters are visible at top. Part of a balustrade is visible at bottom.
