Photograph of the architectural plan for the Santa Barbara Presidio, showing the plaza in 1788, [s.d.]. A square fortification is shown at center, with rooms partitioned at regular intervals along the walls, the plaza labeled at the interior and a scale for measurement shown just beneath. Text at the very bottom of the image reads "This is the plan of the Presidio sent by Cammandant Goycoechea to Governor Fages in 1788".
A key beneath the plan and its title lists the following sections of the presidio: 1) Main entrance, 2) Storehouse, 3) Family Houses, 4) False gate, 5) Church, 6) Sacristy, 7)Alferez' Suite, 8) Commandant's Suite, 9) Family houses, 10) Champlain's suite, 11) Sergeant's house, 12) Guard room and quarters, 13) Alferez' Corrals, Kitchen, 14) Commandant's Corrals, Kitchen, 15) Champlain's Corral, 16) Western bastion, 17) Eastern, and 18) Corrals.
