Description
Title supplied by cataloger.
A hearing took place wherein Hilda Desey, a dress shop proprietor, charged that Mary Miles Minter entered her shop at 2980 Wilshire Blvd. and took a $55 tweed dress by force. Miss Minter countered saying that she financed Miss Desey's dress shop and that in taking the dress she was merely getting something in which she had a considerable interest. Deputy District Attorneys refused to issue a complaint for either petty theft of malicious mischief; it was decided that there was no evidence of any malicious intent on the part of Minter. Photograph dated April 10, 1934.
