Aerial view of the Biltmore Hotel and its surrounding area. During this time, the Biltmore Hotel was the headquarters of the Democratic National Convention, held in Los Angeles during the week of July 11-15. Pershing Square is in the foreground. #1: Biltmore Hotel and its three towers, 506 South Grand Avenue. #2: Los Angeles Public Library, 630 West 5th Street. #3 Edison building, corner of Grand and 5th Streets. The Biltmore was built in 1923 by Architects Schultze & Weaver. Photo dated: July 2, 1960.
