During this time, the Biltmore Hotel was the headquarters of the Democratic National Convention, held in Los Angeles during the week of July 11-15. Pershing Square is in the foreground. #1: Biltmore Hotel and its three towers, 506 South Grand Avenue. #2: Los Angeles Public Library, 630 West 5th Street. #3 Edison building, corner of Grand and 5th Streets. The Biltmore was built in 1923 by Architects Schultze & Weaver. Photo dated: July 2, 1960.
