Description
Belmont High School students, garbed in white, demand a cleaner building and campus. Lauding the "pickets" are principal Dr. Veirling Kersey, right, and Mrs. Miriam Evans, Latin department head, who suggested the cleanup campaign and hopes it sets an example for the entire city. Photograph dated March 23, 1949.
