Description
The film reel features Saint Rose Church and School in Santa Rosa, California. Saint Rose was first established as a Mission church in 1860, and became a parish in 1877. The parish territory covered Cloverdale, Healdsburg, Sebastapol, and Guernville. Saint Rose School was the first Catholic elementary school established in Santa Rosa in 1931, and was administered by the Ursuline Sisters. Footage includes children after receiving their First Holy Communion, 8th grade graduates, and Ursuline Sisters on their school and convent grounds.
